We’ve officially re-opened as of Thursday 28th August - our first day in the new gym. We can’t wait to see you all on the mats, rested, recharged, and ready to finish the year strong together.

FAQs

  • No prior experience is needed. We cater to everyone - from complete beginners “off the couch” through to professional MMA, kickboxing, and grappling competitors.

  • For your first class, just bring comfortable clothing (ideally without zips), no jewellery, and enough water to stay hydrated. That’s all you need to get started.

  • No - this is one of the biggest misconceptions. You don’t need to be fit before you start martial arts. Training itself will build your fitness, confidence, and help shape your goals and ambitions along the way.

  • We train across multiple disciplines to cater for professional MMA fighters - but no, you don’t need to do everything. Many of our members train just one discipline, whether it’s kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, wrestling, or MMA. It’s completely up to you

  • Yes - we offer a first-class trial session so you can experience the vibe of the gym, the community feel, and of course the training itself.

  • We start coaching children from age 5. We run a program for ages 5–10, a program for 10–15 year olds, and an adult schedule for ages 16+. In some cases, skilled 15 year olds may join the adult schedule with parental authorisation.

  • It depends on the discipline. For jiu-jitsu, you’ll need a gi. For kickboxing, we recommend buying your own gloves and shin guards for hygiene reasons. For MMA, you’ll need a gum shield, MMA gloves, and the right training kit. Don’t worry - we’ll guide you on what to get and when.

  • No one is required to compete. Most of our members train for their own personal goals. While we do have active fight teams in both jiu-jitsu and MMA, competition is entirely optional - only if it’s something you choose to pursue.

  • Yes - safety is our number one priority. All sparring is supervised and controlled, and beginners won’t be thrown straight into hard contact.

  • We offer both membership options and pay-as-you-go (PAYG) sessions, so you can choose what works best for you.
